Marley’s Siniat Vinyl Ceiling Tiles Have Been Verified by Ecospecifier
Marley Building Systems is proud to announce that another Marley Building Systems product has been verified and certified. Our Siniat vinyl ceiling tiles have received that green stamp of approval from Ecospecifier, an organisation that is responsible for ensuring that our products are eco-friendly and won’t harm consumers. This is a great accomplishment for us as it means that our products meet international standards for sustainability.
Ecospecifier is led by a team of experts who assess the sustainability of building materials and gives them a rating and accreditation. It is the “home of all the leading certified and verified sustainable products knowledge” and they provide consumers with “information you can trust”.
At Marley, our number one priority is to offer you products that are not only good for your building—giving it an aesthetic appeal—but are also good for your health and the environment. Other Marley products that have been certified by Ecospecifier include the Siniat plasterboard, Marley jointing compound, and our metal products.
Siniat vinyl ceiling tiles are gypsum-based and designed for high-durability. They consist of an aerated gypsum core encased and firmly bonded in a special plasterboard vinyl liner on one side and a 100% recycled paper liner on the other side. When coupled with Siniat MasterGrid ceiling grid, the solution provides a high-quality aesthetic ceiling that is quick and easy to install. Moreover, the vinyl coating makes the ceiling tiles easily cleanable even when already installed. The ceiling tiles are available in various patterns and textures, which include fissured, shell white and black. They are suitable for internal ceilings in commercial and civic buildings.
Ecospecifier assessed the Siniat vinyl ceiling tiles based on the following criteria:
- Life cycle
- How the product impacts consumers’ health
- How it impacts the home environment
- Ecological quality
Siniat vinyl ceiling tiles have a lifespan of 20 years and they are easy to install, which means that it is easy to minimise waste build-up and the cost and time associated with the installation process. The finished product has been proven to not be harmful to your health, however, protective gear must still be worn when using the product to protect yourself from dust that could harm your eyes or chest. Siniat vinyl ceiling tiles are fire-resistant, reusable, recyclable, and repairable.
