Building Green for a Healthier World
Etex Celebrates World Earth Day
The 22nd of April 2020 marks the 50th anniversary of World Earth Day, which was created as “a unified response to an environment in crisis.” It is a global call to be proactive in minimising the effects that businesses and individuals have on the wellbeing of the earth. As a global company, Etex is not only dedicated to offering our customers quality products. Our passion for excellence goes beyond customer satisfaction and extends to how our products impact the environment. As we observe World Earth Day, we’d like to remind you of our commitment to sustainability and the environmental benefits of Etex products.
The theme for this year’s World Earth Day is climate action. We all have a role to play in addressing climate change, which presents a significant challenge for humanity, both in the present and the future. In the pursuit of our mission to inspire ways of living, Etex’s number one priority is to develop, market, and sell eco-friendly products. The light-weight nature of our products ensures both longstanding quality and sustainability.
The eco-benefits of Etex products
Etex has been recognised, globally and nationally, for setting the benchmark in innovative, sustainable and complete building solutions. We have been given the green stamp of approval by Ecospecifier, a company that is led by a team of experts who assess the sustainability of building materials and gives them a rating and accreditation. We have also received Global Green Tag accreditation, which is “one of the world’s most robust, trusted and widely recognised ecolabels”. Their mandate is to encourage companies to produce and distribute eco-friendly products.
Our metal products have received the Ecospecifier Green Star rating and have been lauded for their thermal mass, building comfort and energy efficiency. Our Siniat EasyBoard, FireCheck Plasterboard, and MoistureCheck Plasterboard have received the Green Tag Certification, which is renowned for enhancing a brand and its products’ credibility. These products have achieved GBCSA Level B Bronze, certified under Global GreenTag Standard V3.2. Other Etex products that have been recognised for not being harmful to the environment include the Siniat jointing compound and vinyl ceiling tiles.
We take pride in the fact that we offer building materials that are not only beautiful but are also sustainable, with little to no toxins or pollutants. Our products have also been manufactured to address rapid urbanisation, which is adding pressure to the environment. Our solutions are made to maximise limited living and working spaces effectively. As we dedicate ourselves to surpassing performance demands, The Etex team works hard to ensure that our products meet and transcend environmentally friendly building requirements. We view ourselves as a corporate citizen with a responsibility to our customers and the world within which we operate.
